Blending her love of connecting to audiences with her performing talents, Jilian is a roving performer often appearing at public events portraying beloved characters from superheroes to princesses. She is particularly excited by opportunities where she can create immersive experiences for guests, such as her original tarot reader character which is a hit at party bookings. An actor on both screen and stage, credits include: The Cultch, Carousel Theatre, The OR Festival, a range of independent films, corporate projects for BCIT.
Providing a valuable foundation for her acting work, Jilian has been a pianist for over 15 years has intermediate music theory education. Playing in both solo and ensemble environments including musical theatre, she also has over a decade of choral experience.
Enjoying storytelling multiple mediums, Jilian has written short films and stage plays. She finds joy in crafting dark humoured feminist stories, which particularly shone through in her short film “Dating Advice with Baba Yaga” about the witch from Slavic mythology. Expanding on my Baba Yaga passion, Jilian apprentice directed Touchstone Theatre's production of YAGA at Gateway Theatre. Taking the lessons she learned from working various roles on set, Jilian has gone on to direct/produce short films. Loving to jump into new creative challenges, a directorial highlight was her Shakespearean remix short films "Botanical Bards" and “Tides of March” which were created in 48 hours for the RunNGun Film Competition. Aside from her narrative works, she's also written an op-ed piece for Oceanwise.
As a marketing specialist, Jilian’s focus is using her narrative talents to attract an audience for her clients. Content creation services range from graphic design to photography, specializing in building community for your brand, particularly through social media marketing. Previous clients range industries from entertainment to health & wellness.
